After a collaborative effort with our students and staff, we are proud to unveil our new logo. It is a symbol that encapsulates our school’s values, community spirit, and maritime heritage.
All classes and children were invited to share their thoughts on what makes their school special to them. Their ideas were carefully considered and passed on to make their ideas come to life.
Each element of the new logo has been carefully thought about, signifying what it means to be a Starcross Primary School pupil. Navy and Yellow have remained as the foundation of the new logo as this colour scheme is distinctive to Starcross and is part of the schools heritage. The logo is wrapped in a nautical rope, symbolising the family feel at Starcross Primary School and its integral place within the local community. This rope signifies unity and safety, values that are deeply ingrained in our school’s ethos.
The boat symbolises direction and ambition, aligning with our “STARS” values. The boat and waves also represent the school’s coastal location, nestled near the Estuary, and reflects the ebb and flow of learning.
Central to the design is a star adorning the sail, representing guidance and navigation, reminiscent of sailors who use the stars to chart their course.
We are so proud of our school community who worked together to create a logo that reflects their time at Starcross Primary School, a logo that they can wear with pride.
With regards to the children’s uniform, we are happy for items with the previous logo to still be worn, passed down or donated to the PTFA when the children have grown out of them. New uniform purchased after the Easter break will display the new logo.
