We have started to read our new class book which is The last Wild by Piers Torday which follows a boy called Kester who discovers he can talk to animals in a world where many species are disappearing. Alongside a group of animal companions, he goes on a dangerous journey to uncover the truth behind a mysterious illness and help save the natural world.
Our WCR sessions are supported by the Ashely Booth reading scheme and this term, Tuesday-Thursday, we will be looking at texts exploring Brazil, rainforests, life cycles and classic novels.
